Defending common sense

The LGBTQ movement has pushed for equal rights for all people in the LGBTQ movement, advocating for same-sex marriage and living without discrimination. LGBTQ is an acronym for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer. These terms describe one’s sexual orientation or identity.

However, the LGBTQ movement has been going too far to the point where society has to accept that a man who identifies as a woman can get pregnant or a woman who can have a penis, when will it stop? What’s next, being able to identify as a crocodile or a camera? When will this continued delusion end? Society needs to WAKE up.

There have already been problems where males who identify as “women” can enter female sports in which they obviously have a physical advantage.

For example, the article “Why Male Athletes Who Identify as Transgender Should Not Compete in Women’s Sports” by Alliance Defending Freedom it states, “Some activists claim that males who receive cross-sex hormones and artificially lower their testosterone levels should be allowed to compete against females. But recent studies have proven that these methods do not negate the performance gap between the sexes. Forcing females to compete against males strips them of their right to a fair playing field.”

This shows that allowing males to participate in female sports disrupts the fair playing field. In the past few decades, women in sports have seen their opportunities increase, especially since the passing of Title IX in 1972. However, if female athletes are forced to go against male athletes,  many young girls will not have the opportunity to shine, no matter the hard work they put in.

Another issue is the continued push of the LGBTQ agenda onto children, especially in schools. I believe that if the LGBTQ agenda is promoting its view on whether it is normal behavior or should be explored, it should be up to the parents, NOT the school.

This is a critical issue, especially in preschools and elementary schools. They are too young to understand the concepts and the ideals of the LGBTQ agenda. Parents need to consent to things like this that can affect their children.

For example, an article by The Heritage Foundation states, “A school in Washington state also exposed first graders to sexual content by reading the book “I Am Jazz,” which promotes transgenderism. In California, third graders had to complete an assignment that referenced “experimenting with gender presentation” and the “gender spectrum.” In what world is it ok for schools to teach 6-9-year-olds about transgenderism and experimentation with gender presentation?

Children are being taught these things that they don’t fully understand. Children tend to be influenced by these messages and act upon them when they have no idea what it means.

Another problem is the continued development of unnecessary pronouns—for instance, the development of neopronouns, which are pronouns that serve without expressing a specific gender. Neopronouns can also be a “noun-self pronoun,” which is a type of neopronoun that allows people to express themselves through nouns instead of traditional pronouns such as “she,” “he,” or “they.”

In “A Guide to Neopronouns,” an article by the New York Times, states, “Noun-self pronouns can refer to animals — so your pronouns can be ‘bun/bunself’ and ‘kitten/kittenself.’ Others refer to fantasy characters — ‘vamp/vampself,’ ‘prin/cess/princesself,’ ‘fae/faer/faeself’ — or even just common slang, like ‘Innit/Innits/Innitself’.” What the hell is this? Are we living in an online multiplayer game now?

As a society, we need to wake up because this is going too far to the point where people really believe they are dragons in a world of fairies and whatnot. As individuals, we must draw a line and question how far we are willingly trying to bend reality for the sake of embracement. It’s just common sense.
