Part One

What really happened to Lauren Agee? Lauren Taylor Agee was a 21-year-old woman born on August 19, 1993, in Biloxi, Mississippi. She lived with her mother, step-father, and her three siblings in Tennessee. She was a very outgoing girl and her friends and family even described her as funny, bubbly, sharp-witted, and a sweet spirit. She was very lively and that really showed through her childhood. She would always copy music video dances and recreate them in front of her family. She had many friends, a boyfriend, and a very active social life.

Lauren had a really bright future, but in July 2015, that all changed.

In the summer of 2015, one of Lauren’s friends, Hannah Palmer, asked her if she would go to a festival with her called WakeFest, which was a watersports festival that involved wakeboarding during the day and immense amounts of drinking during the night. Once Lauren was invited she told her mother, Cheri, and her mother had a bad feeling about the situation because Hannah wasn’t a good friend to Lauren. She would mainly only talk to her when she benefited from the friendship and would drop Lauren whenever something good happened in her life, such as when Lauren got a boyfriend, which definitely screams fake friend material. Although her mother had a bad feeling she still let Lauren go but made Lauren hug her one last time before she left and squeezed her very tight just in case. Unfortunately, that was the last time she ever saw her daughter alive.

Unfortunately, all things have to come to an end, but that doesn’t mean the story is over. Find out what happened to Lauren during WakeFest next week.
